Welcome to Summers Percherons and Yellow Rose Hitches. We feature a horse drawn carriage for weddings, special events, and parades. We also offer breeding services for the wonderful Percheron horse. We got our start with a trip to Iowa in 2005 to purchase two beautiful black Percheron mares. This was a dream come true for owner Ken Summers.

The Percheron breed originated in France during the Middle Ages, originally developed as a war horse and later as a carriage and farm horse. Percherons are well known for being docile and affectionate, intelligent , easy to handle and willing to work.

They are a very elegant heavy horse, are very active, showy and easy movers. Their stride is not as choppy as that of other heavy horses, and have a stylish action—long, free and comparatively low.

Our Percherons now earn their keep by providing wagon and carriage rides for weddings, parades, company parties and other special events. We now have a handsome percheron stallion who is making his debut in the breeding market.
